You create a floating, spectral melee weapon that takes on the characteristics of a particular element.

Choose one of the following elements: EARTH, FIRE, LIGHTNING, ICE, WATER, or WIND. The weapon, which takes the form of the material component used in this spell (such as a hammer of lightning, or an axe of ice), appears within range and lasts for the duration or until you cast this spell again.

When you cast this spell you can make a melee spell attack against a creature within 2m of the weapon. On a hit, the target takes ELEMENTAL damage equal to 4d12 + your spellcasting ability modifier.

As a bonus action on your turn, you can move the weapon up to 10m and make one melee spell attack against a creature within 2m of it.

This spell ends prematurely if you reach 0 HP.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a 9th-level spell slot, you can make two melee spell attacks when you use the bonus action.
